A Churning Urn Of Steaming Funk (no, not Rob after a few days of not bathing)

Another fantastic Fall 77 show. Highlight here for me is the Eyes. Compared to the mellow beauty from a few nights earlier at Evans Field House, this one is a raging beast on crack. Played at an incredible tempo, the band lays waste to any and all before it. I'd say this one is a chair-smasher, but smashing is not powerful enough a word. More like vaporizing. My ride to work resembled a meteor striking the earth, a smoldering gash in the earth trailing behind my car.

So, if you have absolutely no regard for the well being of your neighbors/coworkers, feel free to blast off with this freak show of epic proportions.

That is all.

Been a fan of that shoe for a long time. Listened to it last week. Any day is close enough for this killer show!

What is really funny is Garcia's riffs from Deliverance when Phil is doing the Jones Gang Schtick. It just dawned on me that is what he was doing.

The carnage is devastating over there Craven! The swath of a true twirler.

I am always Grateful for the fine suggestions here. Makes it much easier to figure out what to play during the day. Dusting off stuff like this 11/4/77 always leads to more killers and memories of past listenings. In this case 10/30/77 came up when Craven lead me into Fall '77. LL>Supp is a killer on this one as I recall. As well as the entire 2nd set.

Note: Looks like this may have slipped through the cracks if it is a Bd

Probably the best "fast" EYES ever played in this one (11/4/77)

Don't you hate it when that happens?

The wife has just about run out of patience.

And I've just about run out of chairs, lazyboys, divans, foot rests, sofas, loveseats, beanbags, hammocks, recliners and chaise lounges.

I'm starting to worry that the appliances might be next.

Great rec. Jerry is absolutely possessed. One of my favorite shows of the year and just as good as the May shows imo.

I hammer '77 pretty hard, but this is stunning exception to the rule. A huge show, espicially from LIG on. Not close to the best versions of CR&S or Iko but I don't care.

Sick bits. Yummy.

DONE!

And to think I was still recovering from yesterdays 79.
lil hair of the dog I guess...
Luckily these chairs are 'built to last'. (I can hear the boos from here people ). But this is what has happened so far, and Im only on the first song (my fav song).

And might I say, with all due respect, that this is a raging
beast on bath salts; cuz it will eat off your face :)

edit~ Eat your face right off your head. thats better.

Thx SDH. call the police

1st: Outstanding picture, sums it up well.

2nd: I may have to institute a Face Eating Scale to replace Chair Busting. Well done.

I think if you examine the original police report of that attack there is a mention of the accused have an old Walkman in his possession with a tape of a 73 show cued to Playin'. I'm thinking Donna may have pushed him over the edge.

If I saw shows like this one in 1977, I believe I'd like Minglewood more than I do. This one's on fire.
